As per the GWPA rules, the Association shall consist of a Hon Secretary, Hon Treasurer, Working/Field Trial Secretary, and a Committee of up to 10. Any member of the Association shall be eligible for election to the committee or as an Officer, provided he or she has been a fully paid-up member for at least one year on 1 March in the year of the election.

 

The consent of the nominee to serve must be secured in writing.

 

Officer vacancies

The following posts are due for election. These serve for one-year term until the 2025 AGM.

· Treasurer

· Secretary

· Field Trial Secretary

 

Committee vacancies

These posts shall serve for one-year term until the 2025 AGM. 

 

In accordance with rule three, half of the Committee shall retire in rotation and shall be eligible for re-election.

 

Patron/President/Vice-President

The President is currently in post and has completed the second year of a three-year term. A Patron and up to three Vice-Presidents may be elected by the members at an Annual General Meeting for a period of three years.

Nominations for officer positions, committee members, and any resolution for the agenda of the Annual General Meeting must be proposed and seconded by fully paid-up members and be received by the Secretary, by 25 March 2025.

 

The agenda and copy of accounts will be circulated to all fully paid-up members at least 14 days (by 8 April) prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting. The rules of the GWPA can be accessed on our website.
